• Cultivation

The lily is a bulbous plant. The lily bulb is cultivated in such a way that only one shoot is harvested. This works out to an annual cultivation of 16,500,000 bulbs.

The lilies are grown in accordance with the MPS-A environmental standard.

During low-light periods, Bredefleur Kwekerij uses assimilation lights, which allows us to maintain the high quality of our products even during darker seasons.

The company applies closed waste and water management, meaning that the waste flows are recycled. As a result, our cultivation is extremely environmentally friendly.

  • Planting

Our bulbs are carefully hand-planted. The bulbs are planted in a high-quality mixture of peat-like substances. To deliver the real "Bredefleur Quality" to you, we check the bulbs ourselves before we order them.

  • Processing

As much as possible, the lilies are processed automatically. Of course the lilies are expertly hand cut. The lilies are then transported by conveyor belt to a modern processing line, where they are processed, bunched, and automatically bagged and prepared for the auction and direct orders.

Bredefleur lilies are distinguishable by the eye-catching Bredefleur bags which clearly indicated the brand and variety.
